The fund can pay for NRT as a one-off but a young person must see a doctor first and have a script The Youth Health Fund (YHF) is administered state - wide by The Link Youth Health Service through a network of Access Workers.
The aim of the YHF is to buy essential health services and/or items for people aged 12 to 24 who otherwise could not afford them. The fund assists disadvantaged young people across Tasmania.
The YHF can be used for the first smoking cessation prescription which can be certain patches or non-nicotine medications such as Champix or Zyban.
