ABC Youth Brief Intervention
(Ask, Brief Advice, Cessation Support)

Brief interventions recognise that many people can benefit from being given appropriate information at the right time. This option can work particularly well for young people as they are less likely to engage in ongoing counselling sessions.
Providing ABC brief intervention can take as little as 30 seconds.

Aim of ‘No More Butts’
The aim of this group program is to build motivation, confidence and capacity in participants to quit smoking. It is of course an excellent supportive environment in which to make a quit attempt and this is encouraged.
No More Butts aims to create a safe and supportive learning environment; to use a motivational interviewing framework; and encourage participants to be involved in group discussion and share their experiences.
